      Check your IT requirements for E-Learning

      The technical specifications required to use the E-Learning system are listed below:

      Ensuring that the below settings are applied on the device used to complete the e-learning, has been found the assist with the below queries:

      • The courses are running too slow/ not loading
      • Course page is blank
      • I'm not receiving emails/ notifications from the system
      • What's the best browser to run the courses?
      • The course is saying the course license key is missing?

      Internet Access:

      You will need a computer or device with a web browser and an internet connection to access Safety Media e-Learning Solutions. The minimum Recommended Bandwidth: 2Mbs.


      Recommended Software Settings and one of the following web-browsers:


      Windows:       Microsoft Edge (Versions as maintained and supported by the manufacturer) and Google Chrome

      OS X: Latest versions as maintained and supported by the manufacturer and Firefox

      IOS: Latest versions as maintained and supported by the manufacturer and Firefox

      Android: Latest versions as maintained and supported by the manufacturer and Firefox

      Adobe Reader or Reader DC (for viewing of PDF documents downloadable from the solution where applicable)

      Plug-ins: Flash player: Version as recommended by Adobe. Microsoft will remove Flash from all of its browsers by December 2020 please see link: https://support.microsoft.com/engb/help/4520411/adobe-flash-end-of-support

      Settings: Enable JavaScript and Allow cookies

      Sound:

      You will need a computer or device that either has built-in speakers or the ability to connect speakers, or headphones to it, as most of our courses have a voiceover to them, except for the Refresher courses.


      Recommended Firewall Settings and Email Whitelisting:

      E-Learning requires access to the domain *.safetylearning.co.uk

      System generated email notifications are issued from the email address notifications@safetylearning.co.uk and this address must be whitelisted where applicable.

      For Document Manager, the following URL needs to be whitelisted/added to trusted sites where applicable: https://documents.safetylearning.co.uk.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com

       

      For Admin users, font and dynamic mapping functionality require access to the domains: *.googleapis.com, *.gstatic.com www.google.com
